5th Conference of the Czech Society for Mass Spectrometry 10.02. 2016

Registration is now open for the 5th conference of the Czech Society for Mass Spectrometry, which is organized jointly with the Faculty of Science, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and Institute of Parasitology, BC CAS. (April 13-15, 2016).

Ion Mobility, REIMS, DESI and Imaging Innovations Workshop 19.01. 2016

The Institute of Microbiology, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and Waters Corporation are proud to announce a workshop on innovations to advance science, to be held on Tuesday 15th March 2016.

This invitation only event will be held at the IMIC facility in Prague and introduces several technologies it is hoped will not only advance the analytical capabilities of the scientific community but be utilised to benefit mankind.

The event comprises two sections, the first is a short symposium of 5 lectures covering innovations related to Ion Mobility, REIMS (Rapid Evaporative Ionisation Mass Spectrometry), DESI (Desorption Electrospray Ionisation) and Imaging. The second section allows "hands on" access to some of the aforementioned technology with two live demonstrations (REIMS with iKnife and DESI).

The plenary lecture will be given by Professor Zoltan Takats, the inventor of both REIMS and DESI; which will be followed, by a range of diverse presentations from several senior directors of Waters R&D programs.
