Seventh annual Conference of the Czech Society for Mass Spectrometry will take place

from April 11 – April 13, 2018 in Prague
at the Institute of Molecular Genetics.

The invitation to give plenary lectures were accepted by prof. Helmut Schwarz (Technische Universität Berlin) and prof. František Tureček (University of Washington). As every year, Zdeněk Herman award, organized by the Endowment Fund Resonance, for the best dissertation work in all areas of chemical physics and mass spectrometry will be awarded. There will be also a membership meeting of CSHS and the election of a new organizing committee.

The co-organizer is in this year the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the AS CR, v.v.i., which we thank for providing conference facilities.

Newly implemented is a 5-minute “poster talks” associated with poster presentation. Those who choose Poster Talk + Poster will be rated in the “best poster competition”, with a significantly higher financial reward. The motivation is mainly to encourage students to practice oral presentations. The classic form of poster still remains, but in limited number.

This year, the conference will be held in English.
